Daemonica Marathon:I più bei pezzi di Passion Unleashed,Ecstasy Unveiled e Sin Undone

Hello!

Ho deciso di fare questa cosa strana (prima volta in vita mia che faccio un post di questo genere) perché ho letto tutti e tre i libri in un fiato e non sono riuscita, per quanto hard avessi provato, a write a recensione. Non so perché, semplicemente mi sembrava di non avere abbastanza da dire su ogni libro. Così ho deciso di fare una cosa unica, partirà mettendo degli estratti che ho amato per ogni libro e poi li commenterò (e magari ne uscirà anche una minirecensione, ma non vi assicuro niente, ultimamente sono imprevedibile). Noto che sto diventando anche ripetitiva. Uhm. Peggio per me.

Ebbene, cominciamo in ordine sago-cronologico: Sin Undone.

Ops. Scherzo. Passion Unleashed.

Ok su di questo libro ho da dire solo una cosa:alterna momenti di Stanchezza Del Lettore (malattia che coglie anche i lettori più voraci e li annoia fino alla morte, rendendoli unable to read another single page: ha preso anche me e pensate che ho aspettato ben 3 mesi prima di riprendere in mano il libro!!) e OMG (esclamazione dovuta a un passo estremamente bello e avvolgente). Ci sono stati dei punti in cui l’ho odiato e altri in cui l’ho amato. Direi che fra tutti i libri di questa serie questo è quello che è venuto peggio (no offense). Tutti gli altri sono scorrevoli e li ho letteralmente divorati: ecco perché, per il bene della serie, vi consiglio di leggerlo nonostante la noia e vi assicuro che i successivi saranno fantastici. Ora che ci penso, se questa fosse stata una recensione avrei dato un **1/2.

Non potete saltarlo però, perché succedono un mucchio di cose e viene introdotto un po’ meglio un nuovo personaggio, Lore (che vi farà cadere head over heels in Ecstasy Unveiled: amo quel demone!!), a cui dedico questo estratto :

"Hey, Gem. You seem a little down."
"It’s nothing," she said, and he wondered if her mood had anything to do with the total tool she called Kynan. He’d have to see if maybe she wanted the tool dead, because Lore would be happy to give her a freebie on that one.
"Can I kill someone for you? Make it better?"
"That’s the nicest offer anyone has made in a long time."

 

Eh già. Lore e Gem. Fortuna che gli passa, era assolutamente una coppia che non mi piaceva (cough Kynan cough)

Cambiamo libro: Ecstasy Unveiled (Lore!! <3)

IO. ADORO. LORE. E. IDESS. Li amo.

Troppo troppo forti.

"Lore? Tell me what Sin said about you being tortured wasn’t true."
He didn’t look at her as he moved toward the bathroom. "It wasn’t true."
"You’re lying."
"You told me to."
"Damn you!" she snapped. "Stop!"
He halted, but he still didn’t look at her. "It’s all right, Idess. It’s not like Deth hasn’t done it before."
The way he said it, as if it was no big deal because he was used to it, broke her heart. How many beatings did it take before one grew numb to it? Way too many, she suspected.
"I won’t let him do this." She took a deep, ragged breath. "I’ll go to my father. I’ll—"
"Stop." Lore rounded on her, but he didn’t look angry. If she had to pick a look, she’d say he seemed startled by her vow to help him. "I have to do this. I knew what I was getting into, and I’ll deal with it."
"But why? Why did you do it? After what I’ve done to you, you should enjoy seeing me enslaved."
"You really believe that?" He took a step toward her. "I’m risking Sin’s life by putting off what I have to do to Kynan. I’m doing that for you. Not for Kynan or my brothers. I took a knife for you. I’ve kissed you over and over when I never kiss anyone. So why the hell would I want to see you suffer?"

Devo davvero ripetere quanto io ami Lore? Tantotantotanto.

E infine…Sin Undone.

Negli altri libri ho imparato a odiare Sin per il suo modo di comportarsi e di trattare i suoi fratelli. In questo non dico che mi ci sono affezionata ma mi sono abituata a lei e ho iniziato a capirla. In verità,ho passato il libro ad adorare Con. Eheh. E Wraith. Continua a farmi morire dalle risate, anche se il suo libro è stato un totale fallimento rimane il mio personaggio preferito.

"UG staff is patching up wargs, and all surviving Guardians are tied up," Wraith said. "But they could probably use some medical attention. Especially the one dipshit with the idiotic Mohawk. He lost a lot of blood."
"Because you ate him," Sin said wryly.
Wraith blinked with exaggerated innocence. "Fighting makes me hungry."

Soooo...that's it. Ciao :)
